Congratulations to Ian Power and his crew for putting on Western Canada's first Century format Doubles event. The format requires that the cumulative age of the team must be 100+. The success of the event suggests that it will become a staple on Alberta's calendar of events.
Four Draws were held including: Men's and Women's, Men's Open and Mixed.
Arun Bakhshi and Bret Loschuk took top honors in the Men's Open Division with Rod McDougall and Ian Power taking 2nd spot.
In the Women's Division Michele Ramsey and Julie Fraquhar ruled supreme over 2nd place finishers Sandy McBean and Anna Pentland.
In the Mixed Division Michele Ramsey and Jack Hoogstraten took the gold over Anna Pentland and Danny Shannon.
The Men's Division saw Brian Shyba and Brennan Wares take the podium over Alex Altamirano and David Wright
Alberta Squash Racquets Association was established in 1967 as a registered non-profit society in the Province of Alberta and is the governing body for the sport of squash in Alberta. In the late 80's the operating name was changed to Squash Alberta. The role of Squash Alberta is to promote and facilitate the development of squash for all Albertans.
