Squash Alberta Memberships and Rankings - Changes Underway
Jul. 10, 2020
If you have been looking at the Provincial Ranking information on Club Locker you have noticed it is not correct/updated at this time.
Things to know:
1. Squash Alberta Memberships for the 2020/21 season are now available for purchase via your club locker account (There will be no auto renewal of memberships this season due to some system upgrades and CoVid 19).
a. When you purchase your 2020/21 membership you will see an option to opt in/out of auto renewal. If you chose to opt in you will be required to have a current credit card on your account.
b. If you chose to opt out of the auto renewal option, you are able to remove your Credit Card from your account after you purchase your membership and/or enter a tournament. Simply go to your profile in Club Locker and click on the payments tab. You will see where you can remove your Credit Card there.
2. You will not show up in the Squash Alberta Rankings until you purchase your Squash Alberta Membership for the 2020/21 season (the rankings update each night at 12am - so you will not show up until the next day).
4. The Overall Provincial Rankings will continue to use the Squash Alberta Single Jump System. All Squash Alberta Members are also included in the Club Locker Rating System to facilitate a National Ranking and as a resource to augment sanctioned tournament seeding as needed. (This is the same as last season)
5. Junior Provincial Rankings will be based on the Club Locker Rating system this season to fall in line with the Junior National Rankings. (We will continue to run the Single Jump System for Juniors - behind the scene - as a resource to augment sanctioned tournament seeding as needed)
Alberta Squash Racquets Association was established in 1967 as a registered non-profit society in the Province of Alberta and is the governing body for the sport of squash in Alberta. In the late 80's the operating name was changed to Squash Alberta. The role of Squash Alberta is to promote and facilitate the development of squash for all Albertans.
