Canada Winter Games

The Canada Games are an interprovincial and territorial sports festival staged every two years, alternating between Summer and Winter Games.

These first bold and adventurous steps for the Canada Winter Games were taken in 1967 in Quebec City, than in 1969 Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia stepped up to be the first host of the Canada Summer Games. Since then, more than 100,000 participants in over 40 sports have been involved as an athlete, coach, or official at these Games and over 75,000 volunteers have dedicated their time to stage the event.

Team Alberta will be heading to Red Deer for the 2019 Canada Winter Games from February 14 - March 3rd, 2019.
