On behalf of the Board of Directors of Squash Alberta and our Executive Director, Tim Landeryou, and High Performance Coach, Arthur Hough I welcome you to this season of squash. We have a great year ahead!
The successes that squash in Alberta has enjoyed are the result of the dedication and hard work of many volunteers that keep our programs running. The volunteers range from the folks at the clubs who run the box leagues and team squash programs, to local Interclub volunteers who provide competition opportunities for hundreds of players, to the committees and volunteers who provide the support for the scores of tournaments throughout the province. We also have to recognize the parents, whose support of their children has helped build the strong Alberta junior squash program. We also have a great development program for officials in the province. Alberta referees are recognized as high-caliber officials both within and outside our borders. Our club professionals and independent coaches have assisted Alberta squash players in reaching the world stage.
To build upon our successes we depend on communication with the squash community. Tim and Arthur are more than willing to provide assistance where needed. The Board of Directors needs the input and feedback of the members to ensure we meet your needs. Our website, www.squashalberta.com is your link to the squash activities in Alberta and elsewhere. We can also be reached through Twitter and FaceBook or just by calling the office.
We will see you on or at the courts. Have a great season.
