Kareem El Torkey, fresh off a title in Toronto Saturday and a last-minute replacement who only arrived in Calgary this morning produced the upset of the event thus far over England’s Simon Herbert; he will be joined by American Shahjahan Khan who defeated Ben Smith of England in a 65-minute 4 game battle. BVAC Head Professional Connor Turk had a capacity crowd behind him and did not disappoint, matching England’s Charlie Lee for the first two entertaining games before eventually falling off the pace.  In the nightcap, Switzerland’s Yannick Wilhelmi earned the final Round 2 spot, bulldozing his way through Israel’s Daniel Poleshchuk.
