The Power Court is on its way to Calgary! In just over two weeks, installation will begin at the Bow Valley Square Atrium as we prepare for the 2021-22 Canadian Open.   With thanks to Oxford Properties, Airsprint Private Aviation, The Bow Valley Athletic Club, Tournament Co-Chairs Dean Brown and Darren Thomson, the Government of Canada, Squash Alberta, Calgary Tourism, Volunteer Coordinator Kim Watson, Tournament Referee Jack Dale, Renfrow Chrysler, Squash Canada and a host of sponsors, supporters and patrons, we are almost ready for world class glass court squash in downtown Calgary.

The female event will be the first Women’s Canadian Open in over 30 years and certainly the largest ever with a $30,000 USD purse. The draw is headlined by Calgary’s Danielle Letourneau (WR 20), Canadians Hollie Naughton (WR 16), Nicole Bunyan (WR 48), Nikole Todd, Hannah Blatt and Iman Shaheen and are joined by top 4 seeds Olivia Fiecter (USA, WR 10), and Lisa Aitken (SCO, WR 35).

The $10,000 USD Men’s event is deep and talented with #3 seed David Baillargeon (WR 64) leading the Canadian contingent of Nick Sachvie, Connor Turk, and Calgarians Andrew Schnell, Noel Heaton, and Brett Schille.  They look to upset top seeds Henry Leung, Tsz Kwan Lau and former WR 12 Max Lee of Hong Kong and #4 seed Nick Wall of England
