Corporate Mentorship Program Launch for National Squads and Teams

Squash Canada is pleased to launch the Corporate Mentorship Program for Canadian National Squads and Team Canada athletes. The program is an important funding vehicle for our top athletes, especially National Junior Squad members and emerging NextGen Squad athletes who need support as they start their professional squash journey. Corporate Partners will “Adopt-a-Canuck” on their LA 2028 Olympic journey while laying the foundation for a career after squash with valuable work and corporate internship experience.

“Our athletes are in need of individual support to achieve their goals,” says Samantha Cornett, Manager of Athlete Development and former PSA World #23. “While more seasoned professionals may be confident with their brand, young players often struggle to put together the resources necessary to represent Canada on the Professional Squash Association Tour. This program has been designed to support our top athletes in finding Partners, and to provide a template for gathering and managing the support National Squad members need to reach their full potential.”

Partner companies will become a Squash Canada Corporate Mentorship Partner and forge a relationship with a Team Canada athlete, including internship opportunities, logo placement on their team kit and tickets to Squash Canada events where they will be competing. Partners will receive a business receipt, with silver and above partners receiving logo recognition on the Squash Canada website.

“As Squash Canada and our athletes begin our 2028 Olympic journey, athlete funding will play a critical role in our program’s success. It truly takes a village to reach the podium, and the Corporate Mentorship program allows the Squash Canada corporate community to support in a unique and powerful way. Squash Canada athletes will receive the resources required to achieve their dreams and gain valuable work and life skills along the way,” says Jamie Nicholls, Squash Canada CEO.
